Hamon (Temper) Hoso Suguha and mix with Komidare
Kitae  Iregular Ayasugi Hada.
Era Konaminohira group is recorded to start forging blades from Yoshinocho era (1334-). Blades can be observed under influence of Yamatoden and graceful Kyozori shape. Suenaminohira blades shows slight Koshizori like Bizen blade. This Tachi is observed slight Koshizori in shape and this is particular of Suenaminohira around Ooei era(1394-).
Fitting Unusual black Shirasaya fitting.
Signature Original Mumei,unsigned.
Description This Tachi belongs to temple minister who passed away few years back. It is still in clean original polish and never been polished after Edo ( end 1868) periods. Kitae shows strong Ayasugi hada which only 3 groups are known by this forging method. They are Gassan and Mogusa smiths who forges regular Ayasugi. The other is Satsuma Naminohira group. As their blades shows iregular Ayasugi like this blade, this is appraised as Suenaminohira group Tachi. To be able to observe all the forging system, it might need another professional polish however this is clean enough to enjoy such a old blade as it is now.

Fitting Tensho Koshirae which was popular around Tensho era(1573-1591) Deer skin was used to bind Tsuka and this is later era binding. Lovely original Katchushi Tsuba around 1500era.

Hamon (Temper) Suguha type with slight Notare and Hotsureba.Togariba near Habaki as Koshiba.
Kitae  Very tight Shinshinto Mokume and no flaws.Fully polishd in Japan.
Era Early Shinshinto periods around Tenpo(1830-1843)
Fitting  Perfect original Katana Koshirae. Binding still very tight and reasonable quality Fuchi & Kashira and Menuki were used. Good Echizen Tsuba. Crashed Raphis Palm skin scattered on Saya with Aogai (Abalone shell) and this technique has died down since early Meiji era. Well preserved Koshirae and no flaws. Tight Koiguchi proves this Katana hadn't been used much. Well made original Kogai in Kurikara designed.
Signature Ubu-mumei
Description This is typical Katana Koshirae used among aged Samurai of middle class up who could afford to re-make lighter weight sword as his original Katana is getting too heavy to carry.
No Shinsa expierienced but good enough quality blade to pass it.

Fujishima Tomoshige Katana & Bishu Nobuie Daisho Koshirae

Tomoshige Katana Koshirae 98.5cm.Nobuie Wakizashi Koshirae is 79 cm.Blade Katana 68.8cm and Wakizashi is very long as 55cm.
Hamon (Temper) Tomoshige has Togariba type of Gonome well tempered. Nobuie showing large Notare.
Kitae  Tomoshige forged in Itame and well forged. Nobuie has itame and mixed Mokume.
Era Tomoshige is Tenbun(1532-1554)  Nobuie was forged during Kanei(1624-1643)
Fitting When this Daisho were found in Japan, blades were rusted and Koshirae in worn condition. Saya re-lacquered in black and repaired inside of Saya. Tsuka re-bounded and changed old Same. All fitting were re-used. All in set of Fuchi and Kashira, excellent Daisho  Sukashi Tsuba and set of Menuki. Daisho Habaki was made by silver. All Koshirae are showing original Daisho fitting were made during mid Edo periods.

Has been restored completely using original fittings.

Signature O-suriage Mumei Tomoshige and Ubu Mumei for Nobuie.
Description It is getting much harder to find original Daisho Koshirae and this is good example of Daisho was prepared for middle class up Samurai family.Pestored perfectly and fully polished with NTHK certificates.
